Production dossier
ZERO RANGE
International weapons industry campaign focused on tactical accessories. Shot with a professional military unit at Orlík reservoir — primarily for print and catalogue.
Project file
A visual world as the production foundation.
ZERO RANGE was not created as a product campaign. It began as a cinematic visual world — a series of stilled frames from a reconnaissance operation, where tension, focus and the psychology of operators form the primary message. The accessories are part of that world — which is why they work.
The client supplied weapons, tactical equipment and accessories. Freemason sourced the professional military unit. The rawness of the military environment met the precision of film production — the result is imagery where every detail holds up to a professional eye.
"The key element of the project is not the shooting itself, nor the action. The atmosphere dominates. Silence before contact. The view through the optic. An operator's focus in the seconds before a decision."
The project is not about war.
It is about people who learned to operate in an environment where mistakes do not exist. Client brief — ZERO RANGE

Challenge
Not about war.
About the people.
- Build a credible visual world — not a documentary series
- Atmosphere and psychology as the primary message — action as context only
- Authenticity of detail: camouflage, optics, equipment, expression — everything must hold up to a professional eye
- Outputs for print, catalogues, digital and campaigns — from a single production
Visual direction
Reality directed by light.
Cinematic realism: high contrast, cold blue-green toning with selective warm light sources. Every frame designed to read as a stilled shot from a high-budget war thriller — credible, but never documentarily flat.
Fog, smoke, rain and light breaking through trees are not accidental — they are designed. The forest stops being a location and becomes an active part of the image. Shallow depth of field and intense emotion without overacting keep focus on the accessories and the operator's expression.

Lighting design
One dominant direction.
Layers without chaos.
ZERO RANGE used a three-level lighting system: a dominant side source at eye level isolated the subject from the background. A secondary ground bounce added volume to the lower frame. Ambient mist diffused light across the space without losing sharpness on the accessories in the foreground.
The result is an image that maintains accessory legibility at any crop — from full-page print to square catalogue cutout. The client did not need to define exact formats before the shoot.
Shadows are not a problem. They are a tool. They define volume, shape and depth where light stops working on its own.
