LIVE FIRE
A tactical campaign for weapons and gear in the dead grounds of the Poldi Kladno ironworks. Controlled live fire, smoke, flares and flashes — an eight-man operator team, a single production day. Not an illustration of a weapon, but a credible combat image.
Project file
Weapon, fire, steel.
The task was not to shoot a product. The task was to build an environment in which the weapon and the gear read exactly as intended — in action, under pressure, in the real light of fire and smoke. A campaign, not a catalogue.
The location became the Poldi Kladno ironworks — steel, concrete and dust as a natural set for a tactical image. An eight-man operator team, three production assistants and a single production day. Everything controlled: movement, timing and every source of fire.
"No studio product. Images that can carry a campaign — where the weapon, the team and the fire read as one credible moment of action."
It was not about shooting the weapon.
It was about building a credible combat environment around it. Project brief — LIVE FIRE

Challenge
Live fire.
Eight operators.
One day.
- Controlled live fire and pyrotechnics in a real space — safety and timing above all
- Coordinating an eight-man operator team in action, not in a pose
- Smoke, flares and petrol-fed scenes — an atmosphere that must never get loose
- The weapon and gear readable and credible even in the middle of chaos
Visual direction
Smoke as volume. Fire as light.
The atmosphere is held by haze from a fog machine and petrol-fed scenes — they give the space volume and separate the team from the background. The light is built from LED panels and precisely metered flashes, complemented by real fire and flares.
The raw steel and concrete of the ironworks stay readable only as a hint, on the edge of light and smoke. Each frame is built as a stilled moment from a larger story, not as a product shot on a backdrop.

Lighting design
Light built from fire and panels.
The base of the light is carried by LED panels and flash — they hold the shape of the weapon, the face and the gear even in heavy smoke. Real sources — flares, petrol-fed scenes and pyrotechnics — then add the atmosphere and colour that cannot be faked.
The haze from the fog machine was metered precisely: enough for volume, not so much that it swallows detail. The result looks cinematic because it was made cinematically — in real light, in a real space, with a real team.
Production scope
From concept to delivery — one team, one responsibility.
Concept
The visual key of the tactical image, location scouting in the ironworks and building the frames before the first flash.
Light
A lighting design from LED panels and flash, complemented by real fire, flares and smoke.
Shoot
A single production day, an eight-man operator team, controlled live fire and pyrotechnics — no CGI.
Finish
Selection, retouch and colour grade — 6 final visuals with full rights transfer.
Final assets
Selected outputs.

Production notes
Every frame is the result of decisions.
